Tracking, spacing and shot quality for basketball

One broadcast file and a roster in, every player tracked and named on a court plan.

What we build

Every player tracked and named from one broadcast feed

Identity rebuilt without training data or labels

Possession, shots and clock on the official play-by-play

Ten named players from one video file

A tracking chain built across four competitions and stress-tested on Olympic and NBA footage. A court homography turns pixels into positions in metres. Identity is rebuilt after tracking, from jersey numbers, the roster and the rules of the game, so the output names all ten players on court. It runs in about the duration of the broadcast.
